Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
