Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is unclear and the US has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have intercepted missiles in their airspace.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with high efficiency and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
