David Beckham received a honorary title at the historic royal residence on the weekday. The former England captain, fifty, was one of the individuals receiving awards for his contributions to sport and charity. Earlier this year, he stated he was “immensely proud” of being recognised in the King’s birthday honours.
Soccer Achievements
Beckham first appeared in England's top division for the Red Devils in 1995 and was a key member that earned a thrilling European Cup win in 1999 when they beat the German giants with last-minute strikes.
In total, he scored 85 goals and garnered accolades including six Premier League titles and domestic cup wins as a footballer, before ending his playing career in the past decade. In addition to his sports endeavors, he has supported a number of charity causes, including serving as a charitable representative for global aid group Unicef since 2005.

Philanthropy and Beyond
In the previous year, Beckham, who has referred to himself as a “devoted monarchist”, was appointed an official representative for the King’s Foundation, an non-profit organization established by the monarch in 1990. In 1998 he was named top fashion icon by GQ magazine and he has modelled for brands like H&M, Armani, and the luxury label.
David tied the knot with Victoria in 1999 and the couple have a family of four kids together – Brooklyn, the second son, the third child, and Harper.
